There are many organizations available for patients facing cancer, chemotherapy, dialysis, and other illness.  Here you will find some of the organizations that we work with and that we feel will benefit you! Cancer Resources:

Africa Cancer Care Inc. | A group of individuals, devoted to bridging cancer care disparities in the United States of America and Africa. 

CancerHAWK | After losing her husband Alan to cancer, she has put their journey to work for others; from finding the doctors with the right mentality to accessing resources. Her mission is to help chemotherapy patients and caregivers find the information they need to make informed choices.  

Cancer Hope Network | Cancer Hope Network, a national, non-profit organization offers free, confidential, on-on-one emotional support to adult cancer patients and their families.  

Chemo101 | Chemo101 provides cancer stricken patients and their caregivers with educational and practical information concerning the various single chemotherapy agents, combination drug treatment regimens, and supportive care products. 

Colon Cancer Alliance | CCA is the oldest and largest national patient advocacy organization dedicated to ending the suffering caused by colorectal cancer. In order to increase rates of screening and survivorship, the CCA provides patient support, public education, supports research and conducts advocacy.

Corporate Angel Network | Corporate Angel Network arranges free flights to chemotherapy treatment for cancer patients using the empty seats on business jets. 

Happy Chemo! | Happy Chemo! is on a mission to ease the fear, frustration and financial burden associated with cancer by connecting survivors and caregivers to quality products, services and resources provided by approved partners.

Kidney Cancer Association | KCA is a charitable organization made up of patients, family members, physicians, researchers, and other health professionals globally. We fund, promote, and collaborate to educate families and physicians, and serve as an advocate on behalf of patients at the state and federal levels.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society |
We offer a variety of programs and services to support our mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

LIVESTRONG | Founded in 1997 by cancer survivor and champion cyclist Lance Armstrong and based in Austin, Texas, LIVESTRONG fights for the 28 million people around the world living with cancer today.

Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Ohio | Our mission is to promote early detection of ovarian cancer with advocacy, education, awareness, and public outreach to improve outcomes and help save lives as well as to provide support to the women and their family members who have been touched by this disease.

Reel Recovery | Reel Recovery is a national non-profit organization that conducts free fly-fishing retreats for men battling all forms of cancer.  Combining expert fly-fishing instruction with supportive conversations, Reel Recovery offers a unique experience for men with cancer: a time to share their stories, learn a new skill, form lasting friendships and gain renewed hope as they confront the challenges of their recovery.

Sharsheret | Sharsheret, Hebrew for “chain”, is a national not-for-profit organization supporting young women and their families, of all Jewish backgrounds, facing breast cancer at every stage – before, during, and after diagnosis. 

Stupid Cancer/I'm Too Young For This Cancer Foundation | Stupid Cancer (aka the I'm Too Young For This! Cancer Foundation) is a non-profit organization that empowers young adults affected by cancer through innovative and award-winning programs and services.

Testicular Cancer Society
 | The Testicular Cancer Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to raise awareness for the most common form of cancer in men age 15-35. We are dedicated to increasing awareness and education about the disease and providing support for fighters, survivors and caregivers. 


Kidney Disease Resources:

American Association of Kidney Patients | National non-profit organization founded by kidney patients for kidney patients. We strive to educate and improve the health and well-being of chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients, those on hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and transplant recipients and their family members.

American Kidney Fund | The mission of the American Kidney Fund is to fight kidney disease through direct financial support to patients in need; health education; and prevention efforts.

National Kidney Foundation | The National Kidney Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit health organization, is dedicated to preventing kidney disease, improving the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increasing the availability of organs for transplantation.

 

Patient Advocacy Groups:

Patient Advocate Foundation | The leading direct patient services organization in the country with a mission to eliminate obstacles for patients trying to access quality healthcare. PAF seeks to safeguard patients through effective mediation assuring access to care, maintenance of employment and preservation of their financial stability relative to their diagnosis of life threatening or debilitating diseases.

ChemoCargo | Created in early 2010 by April Kunzelman after starting chemotherapy treatments of her own and seeing how advice and resources were so helpful to her. It is a free tote program to first time chemotherapy patients that provides them with a portable package of personal care and comfort items to help ease the stress and anxiety of treatment.

ChemoClothes | Many individuals afflicted with cancer take comfort in knitting while they endure the strenuous effects of chemotherapy. Their primary goal is to empower these individuals to fight their disease by giving them a charitable outlet for their creative work.

Chemo Comfort | Chemo Comfort was born from the founder’s desire to share knowledge acquired while undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Chemo Comfort provides cancer patients with kits of products that help manage nausea, mouth sores and hair loss, among other things.
